- How did you enter the dubbing world?
My mom sent demo voice files to agencies and at some point I got a call to go to a casting for little Miriam (from The Prince of Egypt). Honestly, I can´t remember if „Young Miriam“ was my first dubbing work. For sure it was my first for me to sing. I had so much fun and it went pretty fast. I remember flying to Berlin with my sister to record my vocals.
- You dubbed Young Kiara in The Lion King 2 the same year. How did it go?
Again I got a call if I was interested in auditioning, which of course, I was! This time it was a bigger challenge as it was my first bigger speaking-role in the dubbing world. It's quite a fun challenge to get every sentence and expression just right !

- Then you became Melody's singing voice. How was it singing with your big sister (Naomi Van Dooren, Ariel's singing voice) ?I went to audition for the part. This time they had already chosen the speaking voice, so I wasn´t even asked.
Unfortunately we didn't get to be in the studio together. It was a lot of fun but also challenging at that time with the highest note in the song ;) |
- What Disney Princess, or character, you wished you had dubbed?
Hm, I think Princess Jasmine from „Aladdin“ I absolutely love the songs of that movie! My dream character? Some really successful movie like „Frozen“ where I get to sing amazing songs.
- What's your favourite Disney movie and song?
I still love Cinderella and Peter Pan. I was obsessed with Ariel as a child, but I think I watched it too many times, haha.. My favorite song are „A whole new world“ and „Beauty and the beast“ by Céline Dion and Luther Vandross.
- What are you doing today? Any projects?
I still work as a voice over speaker/singer in English and German and get to sing for several projects. I also released my solo album in 2013 and have been busy working on my own music, performing, etc. Last year I was part of „The Voice“ (of Germany) which was also a lot of fun!
