- Do you know why both there are two singing voices for the character?
To tell you the truth, I don't really know. If I understood it correctly, they wanted me to replace Vigdís's singing parts because Disney USA found them too different from the original voice. But I think it's really odd that Cinderella's voice changes in the middle of the opening song.
I really enjoyed singing the songs of Cinderella. Not to mention all the other voices which appear in "Sing Sweet Nightingale" from the bubbles. |
- How did you get the role of Aurora in Sleeping Beauty?
Well, it was the same as with Cinderella. Júlíus Agnarsson, the dubbing director, called me and asked me to audition, and I got the role.
Well there were some things that could have been done better, but I was satisfied :)

- How was the recording for the role of Anna Leonowens in The King and I?Haha same story again, Júlíus Agnarsson called me and asked me to audition. This was my big dubbing role, the singing parts were really hard and challenging. The song "Shall We Dance" has been really hard to dub, so both Júlíus Agnarsson and Vilhjálmur Guðjónsson, the musical director, anticipated much more time to be spent on it. I had been really stressed having to sing the song. So I came extra well prepared for the recording and we got it on the first take !!

- Do you enjoy dubbing? What was your favourite role? That really depends on the role and the dubbing director, but most of the time, yes, I really like it :D
And that is a hard question... they are so many ! I always have a special place in my heart for the role of Anna Leonowens from "The King and I". I also really enjoyed dubbing Valka in "How To Train Your Dragon 2". |
